Chantal Leonhardt is an artist, writer and storyteller working in her studio on Kangaroo Island. After struggling to find her place in the art industry, in early 2023, she decided to write a picture book story she named Adena and her Star. A year later she started illustrating the story and sharing her journey online connecting with people around the world who love for nostalgia and whimsy. Now in 2026 she shares the story with the world.

With a background in philosophy, Chantal has a passion of using the written word, film and illustrations to tell stories that connect people across time and space. When illustrating she controls watercolour at a large scale to create detailed and whimsical worlds that transport the reader into a world of magic and adventure.

"What I really want is to tell stories, through any medium, within my scope of ability, to connect people with their inner child and inspire them to dream bigger! I believe when we return to our inner child we reconnect to our inner dreams and our most authentic selves, before the influences different agendas and when we didn’t overthink our feelings. when we are our most authentic self we can lead the most fulfilling life and give the most value to the world."
