What is a pre-order?

For debut, self-published authors preorders are EVERYTHING! All pre-orders count to the first week of sales and whilst it’s extremely difficult for independent authors to be stocked in mainstream bookstores when the first week of sales are high enough- publishers and booksellers pay attention! The higher the preorder numbers, the more likely you will see Adena and her Star in the bookshop closest to you (and Chantal Leonhardt can write and illustrate your next favourite book too).
When will my pre-order ship?

Adena and her Star pre-orders will be the first to be shipped when the books arrive. If everything goes smoothly the current timeline indicates they will be shipped late October and arrive to you early November. This timeline is based on estimated logistics and may be pushed 4-6 weeks in the future. A publish date will be announced early August!

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is calculated at checkout based on order weight, size and shipping location.
Tariffs and Duties

USA

Picture books shipped to the US are duty-free as they are classified as children’s books under the HTS 490. However, a customs processing free of Aud $1.69 is included in final shipping costs. Other fees, although unlikely, may be charged and collected by your local customs office upon arrival to your country depending on local policies & legislation.

Printing Statement

Adena and her Star is printed on FSC-certified paper ensuring paper comes from responsibly managed forests. It also uses soy-based inks, which are safer for the environment and healthier for kids.
Returns and Exchanges

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns due to the nature of the product being a limited edition. However, if your picture book is damaged in transit, or in the very unlikely event that it arrives with a defect, we will replace it. Please send us a photo of the damage in the first 72 hrs of arrival.
